A L T E R N A T I️ V E  T O  P R A C T I️ C U M 

For my first placement in Teachers College at the University of Windsor, I️ was given the opportunity to participate in Alternative to Practicum (ATP). In the fall semester, ATP consisted of meeting online with four of my colleagues and sharing lesson plans for a subject and grade level of our choosing. Every week, we were expected to not only prepare lessons and teach our peers as if they were our students but also to provide constructive criticism and feedback to one another, as well as actively reflect on our experience and what it means to be an effective teacher.

From the completion of this practicum, I️ was able to share my lesson plans while also getting ideas for other grades and subjects from my peers. This was an incredible platform for me to create a toolkit of lesson plans and activities for my future classroom.
